2007 - FCIDB Votes Michael Burden a Seat on Board of Directors

Victoria, August 29, 2007 - The Federation of Independent Deposit Brokers (FCIDB) announced that Michael Burden has been selected for a seat on the Board of Directors. Effective January 1, 2008, Michael Burden, CEO of GICdirect.com, has accepted a seat on the Board of Directors for the Federation of Independent Deposit Brokers (FCIDB) for the duration of two years.

"I look forward to working with FCIDB on behalf of Canadian investors as I have specific knowledge, as one of the largest deposit brokers in Canada, on the procedures and issues clients face" states Michael Burden.

Mr. Burden has been in the financial services industry for over 16 years. He joined Investors Group in 1991 and was quickly promoted to a management position as a Qualified Field Trainer. In 1995, Mr. Burden left Investors Group to operate as an Independent Financial Advisor. In 1996, he served as Vice-President of the Avenue Association of Oak Bay.

Michael Burden has been instrumental in establishing GICdirect.com with an associate network of over 40 offices across Canada, with another 30 to be added in the metro Toronto and surrounding area by the end of this year.
