To help you through the purchase of your RRSP, we have outlined below the most common of situations for purchase. If you have a complicated situation or require help in anyway, please call our customer services staff toll free at 1-877-551-7283.

Individual & Spousal RRSP – New Contribution
As a new customer to GICdirect and to purchase a GIC as new contribution to your RRSP, you will need to:

• • Call GICdirect to find out which institution is offering the best rate
• • Complete an RRSP Application Form from those listed below for your chosen institution
• • Complete an RDBA Client & Consent Form
• • Provide a personal cheque made payable to the institution
• • Provide a photocopy of two pieces of ID

Individual & Spousal RRSP – Transfer of existing RRSP Funds
To transfer an existing RRSP from to a GICdirect Institution, you will need to:

• • Call GICdirect to find out which institution is offering the best rate
• • Complete an RRSP Application Form from those listed below for your chosen institution
• • Complete an RDBA Client & Consent Form
• • Provide a photocopy of two pieces of ID
• • Complete a T2033 Transfer Form
